What do you think is the best alternative energy source and why?
This last few days I been learning a lot about other types of energy and the contributions and problems that could cause to the environment. One of the energy sources that I think is the best and can substitute fossil fuels is wind power. This type of energy is renewable, does not contaminate the environment, and it is not as expensive as other types of energy. The United States gets 4.1 percent of its electricity from wind power. Iowa and South Dakota get more than 25 percent of their electricity from wind. Some of the side effects from wind power could be loss in birds and batts, but it can be prevented by analysing the place where the wind plant is gonna be built so is not near places where different types of birds could be affected. Wind energy helps avoid a variety of environmental impacts since is clean energy. :)

Projectile Motion
Last weekend I went to the football game at CDO and one of the players from CDO kicked the ball really high and it went across the whole court. I observed the projectile motion that the ball had to stay the same way and travel in a parabola shape. Projectile motion is when an object is thrown near the Earth´s surface and gravity acts on the object being thrown which explains why the resultant shape is a parabola. When the player kicked the ball i remembered the video that we watched on class and how the football player kicks the ball in slow motion and the ball goes straight up and then gravity affects and starts coming down.

physics observation
This weekend I was in the car driving to the store when I suddenly saw a speed limit sing that said 25 m. p. h. because of the construction that was going on in there. Since I was at a higher velocity I had to decrease the velocity of the car and stay constant at 25 m. p. h. I knew I was at a constant velocity because I was not going faster or slower. I also noticed that a car that was next to me was pulling ahead of me which meant that it was going at a faster velocity than me. Later on, I saw a stop sing and I had some books on the seat that was next me, at the moment when I stopped the car the books moved and dropped. I knew the explication of that was acceleration, because since I was going at a constant speed and then I suddenly stopped, the change of velocity and acceleration made the books go down to the floor of my car. This relates of what I've learned in class because now we are learning how the constant velocity affects an object to move.

How is physics different from other sciences?
I think that physics is different from other sciences because it's the study of matter and energy and the relationship between them. It's a different way of science, it studies different things, like in chemistry you study the reactions between chemicals and in physics you study the energy you would use to do daily activities. Physics is different from other sciences because it studies a different type of wonder in the universe.
What do you think Physics is? How would you describe Physics?
I think Physics is the way how things work, the energy that you use to do things, the velocity of something, the distance that a car moves, the acceleration of things, the space, etc. Physics explains the basic interactions of matter and energy, what is trying to explain , is how the natural things and the universe works.
